Yumi and Sachie’s Family Roots
Yumi and Sachie Imai had always known that their family’s roots stretched far and wide — from their mother’s side, the bustling streets of New York, to their father’s side, the serene countryside of Komoro, Nagano Prefecture.
Their father’s parents had passed away many years ago, and the family home in Komoro had remained empty since then. Despite being abandoned, it still stood as a quiet reminder of their heritage.
However, this empty house wasn’t just part of the past — it had a future. Their older sister, Sachie, had already taken over the house, keeping the memories alive. But now, it had a new purpose.
Manami’s Connection to Nagano
On the other hand, Manami Ogura, the passionate entrepreneur and long-time friend of the Imai sisters, had her own ties to Nagano. Though her parents had once lived in Tokyo, after Manami had left home to start her career, her parents relocated to the peaceful town of Karuizawa, also in Nagano.
For a while, Manami had lived separately from her parents. But after some time, she began to feel the pull of being close to family again. The idea of living near her parents and having a business headquarters in a quiet and supportive environment started to appeal to her more and more.
The Decision to Move the Headquarters
As Sachie Imai continued to grow Princess Trading, the company faced increasing demands. They had been working hard, importing and exporting cars, while Yumi’s website designs continued to attract global clients. But Sachie knew that to really grow the business, they needed a stable home base for both operations and logistics.
The decision was clear. Komoro, with its fresh air and spacious surroundings, was the perfect place to set up the official headquarters for Princess Trading. It wasn’t just about having an office. Sachie envisioned a hub that could also serve as a site for car maintenance and repairs, and perhaps even a warehouse for storing vehicles before shipping.
Komoro is the ideal location,
Sachie said, speaking to her sister Yumi.
It has the space we need for operations, and it’s close enough for us to stay connected with Tokyo and the international clients.
Yumi nodded, seeing the potential.
And it’s a place where we can expand. We can set up workshops and even train staff on how to handle vehicle maintenance properly.
Manami Joins the Plan
It didn’t take long for Manami, who had been working hard as a freelance car exporter, to catch wind of the plans. She was eager to be part of this new chapter in Princess Trading.
Join our Princess Trading.
Sounds like a perfect location,
Manami said when Sachie proposed it to her.
I’ve been thinking about moving closer to my parents in Karuizawa, and Komoro is just a short drive away. I can continue my business from there, while also helping you guys with operations.
Sachie smiled, her trust in Manami evident.
Exactly. We’ll have the perfect balance of work, family, and space.
Moving Forward
With the plans in motion, Princess Trading officially moved its headquarters to the Imai family home in Komoro.
The house, which had once been a quiet family retreat, now buzzed with the energy of new possibilities. Sachie, Yumi, and Manami worked together to renovate parts of the house to suit their needs. There was a section of the house that would serve as the main office, and just outside, they built a workshop where Manami would oversee the repairs and inspections of cars before they were shipped internationally.
A New Chapter for Princess Trading
As Princess Trading continued to grow, the Imai sisters found themselves balancing family, work, and the support of their dear friend, Manami. The decision to move their company’s headquarters to Komoro wasn’t just a strategic business move — it was a new chapter in their lives, one filled with the promise of success, adventure, and family ties.
And so, from the quiet hills of Komoro, the team at Princess Trading was ready to take on the world of car exports, providing high-quality vehicles to customers across the globe — all while building a company that celebrated family, teamwork, and trust.
